Bruises

Hi there everyone! Do you remember these beauties? They first appeared in a bar scene I did over a year ago and even though it was a temporary project it took me so long to finish it that in the meantime I constructed a whole story in my head. I wanted to revisit them and draw a scene of the encounter between Connie and Nick which kicks off their relationship.

The scene takes place in the back of the Crossroads, the bar you already know from the original piece. Connie is not just the (co-)owner of the establishment but she's also a singer/ entertainer on ocasion. When a customer sneakes in to her dressing room and attacks her Nick "convinces" him to leave. (To be fair the man isn't simply delusional, but he was cheated out of his business by Connie and he doesn't take it all that well.) Good Guy Nick didn't think he's gonna take a beating while he was walking down that corridor to discuss a business arrangement with Connie.
